Amanda has bachelor’s degrees in English and Education and holds a valid U.S. secondary English teaching license. Her approximately 12 years of experience include teaching at a U.S. high school, serving with the U.S. Peace Corps in Indonesia, and teaching students of many ages in South Korea.

Lessons are taught online and one-to-one. After the consultation, Amanda designs a curriculum that connects reading, speaking, writing, and discussion activities to the student’s interests and goals.

There is no single textbook for every student. Depending on the student, lessons may use books, articles, videos, literature, or teacher-created materials. A particular textbook can also be used when it supports the student’s goals.
How is progress tracked?
Regular feedback covers participation, current learning, progress, and next steps. Students taking two or more lessons per week receive weekly feedback; students taking one lesson per week receive feedback every two weeks.
