What are your qualifications and job experience?

I have a bachelors degree in both English and Education as well as a valid U.S. teaching license. I taught at a preschool (ages 2-4) while working on my degree and then I taught English for the Peace Corps in Indonesia to students ages 10-14. After returning to the U.S., I taught at a high school as an English teacher, for students ages 14-19. I then moved to South Korea in 2017 and have been teaching students between the ages of 5 and adult since. Overall, I have over a decade of experience teaching English to students of all ages, cultures and abilities.

Where are you located?

I’m currently located in Asan, however students all over Korea are welcome to sign up for online classes.

What makes your lessons different?

Korea has a booming industry and a competitive education system. However, this kind of pressure to succeed has sadly caused much of the learning in Korea to be focused around tests. But not with Beyond English. Here, we put the focus back on gaining knowledge that can be used for years to come. Beyond the cramming, beyond the testing, beyond the classroom; that’s why we’re Beyond English.
